Union Minister U Aung Kyi, Daw Aung San Suu Kyi meet, news released after meeting

NAY PYI TAW, 30 Oct-Union Minister for Labour and for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement U Aung Kyi had a discussion with Daw Aung San Suu Kyi at Seinle Kantha State House in Yangon from 1 pm to 1.55 pm today.

After the meeting, they explained matters related to their discussions to local and foreign correspondents.

A press release issued after the meeting is as follows:- Press Release At the invitation of the government of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Daw Aung San Suu Kyi met Union Minister U Aung Kyi at Seinle Kantha State House from 13:00 hr to 13.55 hr on 30 October 2011.

At the meeting, U Aung Kyi and Daw Aung San Suu Kyi exchanged views on assistance being provided by the State for the previous discussions, and importance of free trade and commerce and free monetary circulation for economic development of the nation. Moreover, they had a discussions on endeavours of the State for ensuring perpetual peace with national race armed groups, progress of peace process and matters related to the persons who should be granted amnesty.

The two agreed to hold more discussions.
