Vice-President, Chinese businessmen, hold talks over development of ports, communication sectors

NAY PYI TAW, 29 Oct-During his visit to the People’s Republic of China, Vice-President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Thiha Thura U Tin Aung Myint Oo held talks with Chinese businessmen over development of ports and communication sectors separately on 25 October.

Chairman of China Harbour Engineering Co Ltd Mr Sun Ziyu, accompanied by Ambassador of China to Myanmar Mr Li Junhua and officials concerned, called on the Vice- President at Fution Shangri-La Hotel in Shenzhen in the morning.

At the meeting, they discussed matters on upgrading of Yangon Port and improvement of rivers and construction of jetties.

Afterwards, Chairman of China Great Wall Industry Corporation Mr. Yin Liming, accompanied by Ambassador of China to Myanmar Mr Lin Junhua and officials concerned, called on Vice-President Thiha Thura U Tin Aung Myint Oo.

At the meeting, they cordially discussed matters on promoting cooperation in communications satellite sector, information and communication sector and science and technology sector.

Also present at the meeting together with Vice-President Thiha Thura U Tin Aung Myint Oo were members of the Myanmar delegation Union ministers, deputy ministers, the ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Myanmar and officials concerned.
