Farmers provided with agricultural loans in Shan State

NAY PYI TAW, 8 Oct-A ceremony to provide agricultural loans to farmer members of rural development and poverty alleviation cooperative syndicate was held at Myinkyadoe Village in Ywangan Township of Danu Self-Administered Zone on 6 October, attended by Shan State Chief Minister U Sao Aung Myat.

A total of K 13.1 million was provided to 150 members of nine villages for 262 cultivation acres. Likewise, a ceremony to provide agricultural loans to farmer members of Myattaung Laylone agriculture and general dealing coop-erative syndicate was held at Taunglaylone Village in Taunggyi yesterday, with an address by the Shan State Chief Minister. A total of 53.9 million Kyats were loaned to farmers from nine villages.

The chief minister then met the artistes taking part in the 18th Myanmar Traditional Cultural Performing Arts Competitions at Taunggyi Town Hall and handed flag of encouragement to the leader of participating team representing Shan State.
