Tractors, agricultural loans handed over to farmers

NAY PYI TAW, 21 Aug-Ayeyawady Region Chief Minister U Thein Aung yesterday viewed loading bags of rice onto MV Putri Asia vessel to be exported to the Philippines at Wedaunt Port in Pathein.

At Kyontongale agricultural farm in Pantanaw Township, the Region Chief Minister attended the ceremony to hand over power-tillers to agricultural production societies and disburse capital loans to six microcredit societies and handed over four tractors and 32 power-tillers to the agricultural production society chairmen.

Entrepreneurs presented K 16 million for 10 societies to chairmen.

The Shwe Pyi Sone Private Credit Society Chairman shared K 3 million to 50 vendors, 40 shop owners and two trishawl owners.

The Region Chief Minister viewed thriving Hsinthukha paddy farm, disbursement of loans to micro-credit society members and sales of tractors and power-tillers through installment system.
