| Dy FM arrives back from Malaysia YANGON, 21 Aug-Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs U Maung Myint paid an official visit to Malaysia from 17 to 20 August, at the invitation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia. On 18 August morning, Deputy Minister U Maung Myint called on the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia Mr YB Senator A Kohilan Pillay at the Malaysian Foreign Ministry in Putrajaya and discussed enhancement of bilateral relations and cooperation on labour matters. In the afternoon, Deputy Minister U Maung Myint called on the Deputy Minister of Home Affairs of Malaysia Mr Datuk Wira Ku Seman Yusop at the Home Affairs Ministry of Malaysia and discussed cooperation in labour matters. Afterwards, the Myanmar technical-level delegation met with the Malaysia technical-level delegation consisting of representatives from the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of Labour, and the Ministry of Human Resources Development at the Ministry of Home Affairs of Malaysia and discussed cooperation in labour matters. Later that day, Deputy Minister U Maung Myint met with members of the Committee for the Welfare of Myanmar Workers at the Myanmar Embassy in Kuala Lumpur. Afterwards, the deputy minister proceeded to Ambassador U Tin Latt's residence and met with officials and family members of the Myanmar Embassy staff at the Ambassador's residence. On 19 August, Deputy Minister U Maung Myint, accompanied by Ambassador U Tin Latt and Military Attache Captain Aung Thaw (MN), visited the Dufu Industries Sdn Bhd and the Bagan Printers Sdn Bhd in Penang. He met with Myanmar workers there and spoke words of encouragement. The Myanmar delegation led by the deputy minister left Kuala Lumpur and arrived back here on 20 August. |
