According to UN data Myanmar is harvesting more than 450,000 hectares of forest each year which emits 32 to 93 megatons of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. Destroying one hectare of forest produces 80 to 200 tonnes of carbon dioxide.

According to the Ministry of Communications, Posts and Telegraphs, although telephone wire capacity has been upgraded from two megabytes per second to 12MB, internet lines are still so congested that arrangements are being made to upgrade the capacity further to 45MB.

THE Myanmar women’s under-19 team won their ticket to next year’s AFC U19 Championships with an 11-0 thrashing of Singapore on Wednesday during an unbeaten run during qualifying in Kuala Lumpur from November 7 to 15.

 

“We can’t say this event is just at the Asian level because all the world’s shooting powerhouses like China, South Korea and Japan will be there.
