THIS attractive, well-maintained family home offers excellent views from its many large windows and a generous lawn, complete with putting green, to complement a good-mix of indoor-outdoor living.

To maximise space on the 669-square-metre (7200-square-foot) section, the four-bedroom house was built at the very rear of the property. However, this may now pose a problem for tenants as an unfinished apartment block looms over the house just metres from its back rooms. How the apartments will affect privacy and, in particular, noise from ongoing construction work will be key factors to consider in this South Okkalapa home.

Big windows from the living room and a study overlook the front of the section, which makes an ideal play area for children. A sliding, iron gate secures the property, while a small fenced pond, swing-chair and coconut trees give it a leisurely feel.

Unfortunately, there is no garage.

Inside, the living room is tastefully decorated with indented rows of white glass along the ceiling that reflect light from a series of bulbs set into the ceiling.
Heading up the cool, black and white marble staircase, one comes to a second living room with a balcony overlooking the lawn.

There is teak parquet flooring throughout, except for in the study, which uses paduak as the owner said he preferred the smell in what had been designed as his private space.

While the owner has not set a price for the home, comparable properties are often priced around K250 million.
