A MOVIE aimed at countering misunderstandings about HIV-AIDS is due to screen on both government television stations next month.The movie, Manatphan Ahtwat Ahhlasone Phyait Say (May today be your best for the sake of beautiful tomorrows) was produced by the Japan International Cooperation Agency in collaboration with the Ministry of Health.

 

THE Ministry of Health is planning to conduct a series of surveys to identify factors that are hampering efforts to curb leprosy, a senior health official said last week.

 

A SENIOR psychiatrist has emphasised the need for parents to show understanding and sensitivity towards their children during adolescence.

 

THE Myanmar Red Cross Society has chosen a former rector of the Defence Services Medical Institute, Dr Hla Myint, as its new president.

The change was made at the eighth national congress of the Myanmar Red Cross held at the Institute of Nursing in Lanmadaw township on January 29.

     

FIGURES released by the Road Transport Administration Department under the Ministry of Rail Transportation show that the number of registered vehicles nearly doubled last year.

 

 

“Because of the increase in cyber crimes it is vital to have efficient computer security systems in a country such as Myanmar that is heading towards establishing an e-society,” he said.

ON the night of February 6, to celebrate the Chinese new year, the Trees, led by more than 20 different singers performed at the Golden Dragon Hall Lion City Restaurant in Hlaing Township.Sadly, the hall was only half filled, but those who were there were treated to a great concert.
