The music concerts
- The band Emperor will play in concert at Strand hotel on October
9 at 7pm. Tickets can be bought at the door and will cost between
K5000 and K6000.
- The Hip Hop Fever concert will be held at the Strand hotel on
October 10, featuring a variety of singers and boy-bands. The
tickets cost K4000 and can be bought in advance from Ko Ko Beauty
salons. The concert starts at 3pm.
Art shows
- The Orient Art Gallery, at no, 121(e), Thanlwin Road in Kamaryut
township, will present the art show, Second 7 strokes, featuring
work from seven contemporary artists. The exhibition will be held
from October 2 to 23. For more information call 534 821.
- Contemporary artist and illustrator Pe Nyunt Way’s solo
show, Ultimate Buddha Image Paintings will be on display at the
New Treasure Art Gallery in Golden Hill Valley, Kamayut township
until October 17.
- Artist Chan Nyein Kyaw will exhibit his works, Recent Paintings
2004, at Azada art gallery at no 199, floor 1, upper 34th Street,
Kyauktada township, from October 2 to 8.
New films on show
- New foreign action movie, I, Robot, starring Will Smith and
Bridget Moynahan is now shwoing Nay Pyi Daw cinema.
- The new Myanmar film, Sone See Say (May us meet) is showing
at Thamada, Thwin and Mingalar cinemas.
