The Second Mekong Sub-regional Meeting of the Inter-Governmental Asia-Pacific Consultations of Refugees, Displaced Persons and Migrants ( APC )
The Second Mekong Sub-regional Meeting of the Inter-Governmental Asia-Pacific Consultations of Refugees, Displaced Persons and Migrants was held in Yangon, Myanmar, on 2-3 April 2001.
The Minister for the Ministry of Immigration and Population, delivered an inaugural address at the Opening Ceremony of this meeting.
The meeting was hosted by the Government of the Union of Myanmar, and was attended by representatives of Cambodia, China, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam as well as an observer from Brunei Darussalam. IOM, UNHCR and the APC Secretariat also participated in the meeting. The meeting was chaired by the Director-General of the Immigration and National Registration Department of Myanmar.
The Senior Official Level Meeting between the Union of Myanmar and the Peoples's Republic of Bangladesh
The Senior Official Level Meeting between the Union of Myanmar and the People's Republic of Bangladesh was held on 14th January 2000 in Yangon, Myanmar.
The Myanmar Delegation led by The Deputy Minister of the Ministry of the Immigration and Population and Officials of the People's Republic of Bangladesh led by the Secretary, from the Ministry of Relief and Disaster Management, attended the meeting which was held in the spirit of cordiality and friendliness.
