Concerning the Environmental Health Programme, the government has laid down the National Health Policy (1993) and according to pare (9) of the policy the programme is to be carried out with accelerated momentum. Moreover the project is also included in the National Health Plan based on the attainment of the objectives and targets of HFA 2000. The programme consists of 5 projects.

1. Environmental Health Risk Assessment and Control.
2. Community Water Supply and Sanitation.
3. Occupational Health
4. Air and Water Pollution Control
5. Food and Drug Control
