PAPER AND CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Myanma
Paper and Chemical Industries (MPCI) is one of the six state-owned
Myanmar Industries under the Ministry of Industry (1), engaged in
the production of various kinds of paper and inorganic chemicals. It
was previously named as Paper and Chemical Industries Corporation.
In 1989, the name of the corporation was changed to Myanma Paper
and Chemical Industries to be in line with New Market Oriented System,
adopted in the country in late 1988. Factories
and mills under Myanma Paper and Chemical Industries consists Pulp
and Paper Mills, Paint Factory, Match Factories, Gases Factory,
Chemical Factory and Battery Plant. MPCI
is producing the following range of
commodities:- *Pulp and Paper Products:- Writing and Printing Paper,
Kraft Sack Paper, Paper Board, Tissue Paper, Bleached Bamboo Kraft
Pulp, Newsprint Paper. *Inorganic Chemicals and Chemical
Products:- Caustic Soda, Liquid Chlorine,
Hydrochloric Acid, Bleaching Powder, Detergent (Liquid/ Powder),
Scouring Powder. *Gases Products:- Industrial Oxygen, Medical
Oxygen, High Flying Oxygen, Nitrogen Gas, Liquid Nitrogen, Dissolved
Acetylene. *Other Products:- Safety Match, Paints and Automotive Lead
Acid Batteries. - Establishment of new Pulp and Paper Mills. - Renovation and development of the existing factories on
